September 10th, 2024- Coimbatore: Day 1 Highlights: The 3rd edition of the “Transforming India Conclave 2024” kicked off on September 1st at SSVM World School, Coimbatore. Themed “Resilient Today, Sustainable Tomorrow,” the event celebrated SSVM’s legacy of over 25 Plus years in educational excellence and brought together visionary leaders to inspire the youth. Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma (Retd.), India’s first astronaut, and Dr. Srimathy Kesan, Founder & CEO of Space Kidz India, led discussions on space exploration and its role in shaping the nation’s future. “Space exploration pushes human boundaries,” Rakesh Sharma remarked, emphasizing the potential for space missions to drive India’s growth.

Prominent speakers included Dushyant Savadia, who stressed the importance of sustainability, and Ms. Palki Sharma, who redefined narratives in journalism. Dr. Rupinder Singh Sodi discussed rural innovation, while Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Founder & Managing Trustee of SSVM Institutions, spoke about the institution’s commitment to fostering resilience and innovation in students. Day 1 concluded with a renewed energy to explore fresh perspectives on sustainability, technology, and education.

Day 2 Highlights: On Day 2, SSVM proudly announced the winners of the Studentpreneur Awards 2024, celebrating young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas for social impact. The awards recognized students from across India, with the top three winners awarded cash prizes. The first prize went to Jayam Mangalam Modi, Arnav Agarwal, and Gatik Chhawachharia from Chinmaya Residential School for best sustainable idea that is supportive to the environment.

The day also featured key sessions, including a thought-provoking speech by Mr. Timothy Pinnow, Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Alma College, on future-proofing strategies. Environmentalist Arun Krishnamurthy urged the youth to revive the planet through sustainable solutions, while Ms. Kaveri Lalchand, Founder of Kaveri, highlighted sustainable practices in fashion. Indian industrialist Mr. Srikanth Bolla shared his insights on overcoming challenges, proving that success transcends physical limitations. SSVM’s Studentpreneur Awards served as a testament to fostering the future leaders and innovators of India.

Day 3 Highlights: The final day of the Transforming India Conclave 2024 honoured educators with the Inspirational Guru Awards 2024. Twenty-five exceptional teachers from across India were recognized for their outstanding contributions to education. The event’s valedictory guest, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, virtually launched his new book, “A Wonderland of Words: Around the Word in 101 Essays.” His conversation with Ms. Shoma Chaudhury centred on using thought leadership to craft a resilient India.

Celebrity Chef Rakesh Raghunathan closed the event with a session on cultural sustainability, exploring how culinary traditions preserve identity and resilience. The theme, “Resilient Today, Sustainable Tomorrow,” resonated throughout, emphasizing the importance of resilience and sustainability in shaping the future. SSVM Institutions continue to uphold their mission to transform students for a better, sustainable tomorrow.
