IPL 2024 Auction: Pat Cummins, Sold To SRH For A Stunting Rs 20.50 Crore, Will Earn Rs 49 Lakh Per Ball

<p>Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia who won the World Cup, will be a player for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 17th Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). Following a fierce bidding battle between the Delhi Capitals, SRH, and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Cummins was ultimately acquired by Sunrisers from Hyderabad. When the bidding battle ended, the total had surpassed Rs 20 crore, making Cummins the most expensive acquisition in league history. Nevertheless, he was defeated in this competition by his fellow countryman Mitchell Starc.</p>

<p>Cummins defeated England all-rounder Sam Curran, who was purchased by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the previous year’s auction for Rs 18.50 crore. However, Starc, who joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 24.75 lakh, quickly undid the Australian skipper.</p>
<p>Cummins won’t care, however. It wouldn’t bother him if his colleague overcame him to become the most expensive player in the IPL. In the next IPL, Cummins is expected to earn Rs 49 lakh per ball. A well-known statistician named Mazher Arshad tweeted that Pat Cummins makes 6,000 USD each ball in the IPL. The equivalent of 6000 US dollars is Rs 49 lakh. Accordingly, in the IPL 2024, Cummins will be valued at Rs 49 lakh every ball.</p>
<p>Shortly after the player’s price sent shockwaves around the globe, SRH published a video of Cummins. Cummins expressed his excitement about joining the Hyderabad franchise in the video.</p>
<p>I’m excited to be traveling to Hyderabad for the next IPL. I’ve been exposed to the Orange Army quite a bit. I had a great experience playing in Hyderabad quite a few occasions. I am eager to get going. It’s great to see another Australian visit that location. “We’re going to have a great time this season and hopefully achieve a lot of success,” Cummins stated to the Sunrisers Hyderabad supporters.</p>
<p>Anil Kumble, a former bowler for India, was perplexed by Cummins’ auction price. Although Cummins is an excellent cricket player, Kumble expressed disappointment with his T20 record. Kumble was taken aback by the fact that Starc, a bowler with potential great talent, received Rs 24 lakh 75 lakh upon rejoining the T20 league after an 8-year hiatus. Starc last competed in the IPL for RCB in 2015.</p>
